Apple added an Apple Pay landing page to its regional Mexico website late on Tuesday, indicating the mobile payment system could launch in the country imminently.

Way back in March there were suggestions that Apple Pay could be coming to Mexico, after reports that some iPhone users in the country had been able to add their Banregio cards to the Wallet app, with only the verification process failing.

Cards from banks other than Banregio were not able to be added to the Wallet app on the ‌‌iPhone‌‌, suggesting ‌‌Apple Pay‌‌ in Mexico could be limited to Banregio at launch.

That’s still uncertain, since the ‌Apple Pay‌ page on Apple’s Mexican website offers no launch date and doesn’t list any banks that will integrate with the service. All it says is ‌Apple Pay‌ will be compatible with “credit and debit cards of the most important payment networks, issued by various banks,”

  • Apple’s iPhone 12 will not come with wired headphones in the box, nor will it come with a wall charger.
  • It will come with a USB C to Lightning cable, however.
  • The company made the announcement when unveiling its iPhone 12 lineup on Tuesday, and attributed the removal to environmental concerns.
  • The omission comes as Apple’s wireless AirPods have exploded in popularity in recent years, and the company moves to make its packaging more sustainable.

Apple will no longer include its wired EarPod headphones in the box with its new iPhones, starting with the iPhone 12.

The company is also removing the wall charger from the iPhone’s box. Apple will include a USB-C to Lightning cable, however, which can be plugged into a computer or adapter for charging.

Apple executive Lisa Jackson announced the change Tuesday afternoon after announcing its new smartphone lineup.

After months of anticipation, Apple will finally reveal its iPhone 12 series this evening.

The tech giant is hosting an event at 18:00 BST this evening, where it’s expected to launch four new iPhones, rumoured to be called the iPhone 12 Mini, the iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

But just hours before the launch, an eagle-eyed fan has spotted what they believe are blurry images of the iPhone 12 on Apple’s official iCloud website.

Four new icons have been added to the iCloud website, labelled iPhone13,1, iPhone13,2, iPhone13,3, and the iPhone13,4.

For reference, last year’s iPhone 11 was labelled on the iCloud website as ‘iPhone12,1’.

Twitter user @AppleSWUpdates said: “Have you ever noticed those images in the iCloud or the Apple ID website?

“Apple has uploaded 4 images for the iPhone13,1 13,2 13,3 and 13,4. No … iPhone uses those identifiers.”

FIFA is a big deal in the UK, and the launch of FIFA 21 has done big business in the UK–with some caveats. FIFA 21 is the biggest physical game launch in the UK this year, but sales are down compared to FIFA 20, and the Switch version has sold poorly.

Gamesindustry.biz is reporting that sales on FIFA 21’s boxed copies are down 42% on boxed sales of FIFA 20. There’s a few potential reasons for that–the looming next generation of systems (which will bring new versions of FIFA 21), the growth of the digital market, and the COVID-19 pandemic making players less likely to travel to a store to buy the game all factors in.

It’s unknown how well the game has sold digitally, but this is still a big launch, overtaking the launch sales of The Last of Us Part II and Animal Crossing: New Horizons (both of

Apple has quietly removed the “Beats by Dre” webpage from its website ahead of its Apple event on Tuesday, as it prepares to launch a new, lower-cost HomePod and AirPods Studio headphones.

As noted by Apple Terminal, the landing page for Beats products can no longer be found on Apple’s website. The Wayback Machine has a snapshot of the page in its original form from October 2, while the most recent snapshot from October 9 shows the page as down, suggesting Apple removed it sometime between these two dates.

Over the last couple of weeks, MacRumors has independently observed a gradual removal of all links to Beats’ support website from Apple’s own support pages. Apple also quietly retired its Beats Updater utility that lets users update the firmware of their Beats Wireless headphones, earphones, and speakers.

Apple still sells Beats-branded products on the headphones and speakers section of its

MANILA, Philippines — A new simplified website that will show how local government units (LGUs) are dealing with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) based on international standards will be launched by the Office of the Vice President (OVP) on Monday, Vice President Leni Robredo said.

In an interview in her Sunday radio program with DZXL, Robredo revealed that they have created a website that uses data provided by the Department of Health (DOH) that follow standards set by The Lancet COVID-19 Commission.

Last September, The Lancet COVID-19 Commission released a study that ranked the Philippines 66th out of 91 countries in terms of being able to suppress the spread of COVID-19.  In that paper, the Philippines’ status is currently at a moderate transmission.

“Noong lumabas iyong Lancet Study, parang international study ito ng parang performance ng mga bansa pagdating sa COVID-19 response, mayroon siyang mga international standards na ginagamit na sinusubukan
