Prime Day 2020 officially kicks off in just a few days. But unofficially, several companies are already coming out with early Amazon Prime Day deals. In the headphone space, it’s a return to some of the deep discounts on Sony headphones that we’ve seen before — and you don’t even need to wait until Black Friday or Cyber Monday to take advantage of them.

More specifically, we’re seeing Apple headphones return to their all-time low prices (even as a new AirPods Studio over-ear headphone remains rumored for Tuesday). Things have been a little quiet on the PlayStation 5 front lately, but Sony has started drip-feeding us small amounts of information. Of course, it’s not enough to quench our thirst, but at this point, we’ll take whatever we can get. The relatively reserved approach Sony has taken on delivering details has us wondering what its strategy is, and that’s exactly what the subject of this episode of Generation Next is about.

Lucy, Jordan, and Tamoor talk through Sony’s decision to stay tight-lipped about all things PS5 and what it means for people that are currently thinking about making new console purchasing decisions. They also reflect on how this strategy impacts Microsoft, as it also gears up to launch the Xbox Series X/S in the same period.

From there, the team hits all the information that Sony has provided in the last week. This includes small details on how the

With just over a month to go before the PlayStation 5 arrives, Sony has at last revealed which PS4 games won’t work on the next-generation console. Thankfully, the list is very short.

The 10 titles that won’t make the cut, via @Nibellion, are DWVR, Afro Samurai 2 Revenge of Kuma Volume One, TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2, Just Deal With It!, Shadow Complex Remastered, Robinson: The Journey, We Sing, Hitman Go: Definitive Edition, Shadwen and Joe’s Diner.

Sony has been saying for months that the vast majority of PS4 games will work on PS5 through backwards compatibility, and it’s good to get some clarity on those that won’t work. Microsoft, on the other hand, says titles going all the way back to the original Xbox will work on Xbox Series X and Series S.

There are some other details about the PS5 backwards
