Apple is extending Apple TV Plus subscribers’ free period to February 2021, Apple confirmed to The Verge. TechCrunch first reported the story.

The free trial period that came with the purchase of a new Apple product last year was set to expire for many customers on November 1st — the one-year anniversary of Apple TV Plus’ launch. Instead, Apple will now extend it through the end of January 2021. TechCrunch also reports that if customers “signed up for yearly subs without a new device purchase during that same date period they will also get free through February 2021.” People who sign up for a new subscription before November 2020 will “get a $4.99 credit per month” until February, the site adds.

It’s a smart move for Apple. The streamer kicked off with a rocky launch, with Bloomberg reporting that by February 2020, Apple TV Plus had amassed more than

The Brockton Family and Community Center first opened in North Middle School in January to offer free, family friendly programming to members of the community.

BROCKTON — With the coronavirus pandemic forcing the Brockton Family and Community Center to close its physical doors to the public just a couple months after its opening, providers at the center have gone virtual to continue serving the community.

The Brockton Family and Community Center first opened in North Middle School in January to offer free, family friendly programming to members of the community in the evenings and on weekends using CORI-approved providers. With the school anticipated to sit empty for over a year before renovations on the building begin, school officials and members of the community teamed up to use the space in the meantime for the community center.

A new month means a new round of free PlayStation Plus games. Starting later today, PS Plus subscribers can claim Vampyr and Need for Speed Payback. You still have a few days to add September’s free games to your library, so make sure to snag them if you haven’t already.

Developed by Dontnod Entertainment–the studio behind the Life is Strange series–Vampyr is an action-RPG that flew under the radar when it released in 2018. You play as Dr. Jonathan Reid, a man who took a hippocratic oath to help the citizens of London but now finds himself a newly turned vampire. This understandably creates a moral dilemma, and there’s also a widespread influenza outbreak that is threatening the population. Your choices in Vampyr truly matter, altering both the gameplay and the story. It earned a 7/10 in GameSpot’s Vampyr review.

By 2015 she was the director of culture and historic preservation for the whole state. In the role, she pushed back against a view of art as an uneconomical sector, instead finding ways it could support both artists and the economy.

It’s hard to think of an institution whose purpose and specialties would be a better fit for Newman-Scott than BRIC. One of the foremost arts organizations in the city, its focus spans the visual and performing arts, modern media and education. The leading presenter of free programming in the borough, BRIC is expressly focused on increasing public access to the arts.

It’s a mission that easily could’ve been challenged by the pandemic. Many of BRIC’s peers are facing existential questions. Institutions from the Met to the Brooklyn Museum have had to lay off workers. But BRIC hasn’t, Newman-Scott said.

“We unfortunately have become, as members of the creative economy,

Probably the single biggest move Destiny 2 made after its split from Activision was making a sizable portion of the game free-to-play. The project was called “New Light,” meant to bring in Guardians from all over the gaming world to try Destiny if they had avoided it so far.

The amount of content offered was substantive. The entire base game of Destiny 2 and all its Red War campaign missions. Then both follow-up DLCs, Curse of Osiris and Warmind. Then most of the content in year 2, Seasons of the Forge, Drifter and Opulence. It’s a hefty mountain of content available for free.

And now, it’s almost all going away.

One thing Bungie has really not talked about at all is how the concept of the Destiny Content Vault is changing the free-to-play premise of New Light. A long, long time ago we got the barest hint

PlayStation Plus’s free games for October 2020 are racing game Need for Speed Payback and action-RPG Vampyr. However, seemingly out of nowhere, Bloodborne has also been made free for PS Plus subscribers. It’s unclear if this is a mistake, as Sony did not announce the From Software action game as one of this month’s free offerings. You’ll want to claim this as soon as possible, as it could be an error and fixed shortly.

Bloodborne was PlayStation Plus’s offering all the way back in March 2018 and is included in the PS5’s upcoming Plus Collection, which grants subscribers a library of backwards-compatible PS4 games on the next-gen console.

Bloodborne is remembered as one of the best PS4 games. It received a 9/10 in GameSpot’s Bloodborne review for its agile and brutal combat, phenomenal creature and world design, and interconnected world that “makes every discovery a wonder.”
